Friction Damper
Friction dampers mainly consist of the middle steel plate, the two outer steel plates and the friction materials between the steel plates. Friction dampers generate friction through the relative slip between the middle steel plate and the friction materials, converting the vibration energy of buildings into heat energy, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the structural vibration response.
The traditional anti-seismic methods dissipate seismic energy through the plastic deformation of the structure itself. In essence, the structure itself and its components are regarded as "energy dissipation" elements, which will inevitably cause varying degrees of damage to the structure, and even lead to serious damage and collapse.
Structural control involves setting up control devices on the structure, with the control mechanism and the structure working together to resist dynamic actions like earthquakes, thus reducing the dynamic response of the structure.
Friction dampers have a relatively high energy dissipation capacity, and the load and vibration frequency of the building itself have little influence on their energy dissipation capacity. Therefore, they can be well applied to the anti-seismic work of building structures.

Product Advantage

The hysteresis curve is basically rectangular, and the damping effect is obvious.
It has little velocity dependence and displacement dependence, and its performance is stable.
It has good cyclic durability and requires no post-maintenance.
It can generate damping force even under tiny displacements.
It will not be damaged even in the event of a major earthquake, so there is no need for replacement.
The mechanical model is simple, and the structural vibration reduction analysis and design are easy to carry out.
The structure is simple and the cost is relatively low.
