The 450% ultimate large deformation test is a core extreme performance test for all types of seismic isolation rubber bearings, including LNR (Natural Rubber Bearing), Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB), and HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING (HDR). This critical test is specifically designed to simulate the load impact of extremely rare earthquakes on building and bridge isolation systems, ensuring structural safety in high-risk seismic zones.

In the 450% large shear deformation test, seismic isolation bearings-whether LNR, LEAD RUBBER BEARING, or HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING-are subjected to standard vertical compression stress and pushed to an ultimate shear strain of 450%. This rigorous testing process fully verifies the ultimate deformation capacity, structural stability, and mechanical reliability of each bearing type under extreme working conditions.

For LEAD RUBBER BEARING (LRB), the 450% deformation test checks the integrity of the lead core, ensuring it does not fracture or fail during extreme shear. For HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING (HDR), the test validates that damping performance remains stable even at maximum deformation, maintaining effective energy dissipation to reduce seismic impact. LNR bearings, meanwhile, are tested for rubber toughness and resistance to tearing under ultra-large displacement.

The core value of the 450% ultimate deformation test lies in establishing a solid safety bottom line. The design shear deformation for extremely rare earthquakes is only 250% to 300%, meaning all qualified rubber bearings-LNR, LEAD RUBBER BEARING, and HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING-provide a safety reserve coefficient of more than 1.5 times. This redundancy ensures buildings, bridges, and critical infrastructure do not collapse during strong earthquakes.

Professional experimental centers, such as Hebei Luze Experimental Center, conduct random sampling inspections and type tests on bearings of all specifications, including 800mm diameter LNR bearings, LEAD RUBBER BEARING (LRB) of various sizes, and HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING (HDR) for different engineering needs. Only bearings that pass the 450% large deformation test are allowed to leave the factory.

By passing the 450% ultimate large deformation test, LNR, LEAD RUBBER BEARING (LRB), and HIGH DAMPING RUBBER BEARING (HDR) maintain stable horizontal stiffness, reliable damping performance, and excellent anti-deformation ability. These high-performance seismic isolation products provide trusted protection for global construction and bridge projects, safeguarding lives and property in earthquake-prone areas.
