The uses of seismic isolation products for bridges mainly include shock absorption and seismic isolation, so as to reduce the impact of vibration forces generated by earthquakes, vehicle driving or mechanical vibrations on bridge structures, thereby protecting bridge structures and reducing damage.
Specific uses of seismic isolation products for bridges
Shock absorption and seismic isolation: Seismic isolation rubber bearings absorb and disperse vibration forces generated by earthquakes, vehicle driving or mechanical vibrations through the elastic properties of rubber. This type of bearing is usually made of one or more layers of rubber material, and sometimes alternately overlaps between rubber layers and steel plates, and is processed through strict processes.
Extend the natural vibration period of the structure: By designing a flexible support structure, the natural vibration period of the bridge is extended, the acceleration response of the structure is reduced, and the seismic response under the action of an earthquake is reduced.
Reduce structural displacement: In the structural design, damper-type energy dissipation elements are applied. When the structural force deformation increases, the damper enters the plastic state from the elastic state, consumes the seismic energy, and reduces the structural displacement.
Reasonable stiffness value design: When designing the flexible support structure, ensure the rationality of the stiffness of the bridge structure under normal use loads, and add special spacers to support the entire bridge structure.
