Report from Lhasa Media (Reporter Yang Lu) - According to the official determination of the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in Mozhu Gongka County, Lhasa City at 4:19 on November 7th, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 29.85 degrees north latitude and 92.25 degrees east longitude.
Based on the quick report catalog of the China Earthquake Networks Center, there have been 18 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above within 200 kilometers of the epicenter of this Mozhu Gongka County earthquake in the past 5 years, and this earthquake is the strongest one among them.
It is reported that this earthquake belongs to a swarm-type earthquake sequence, where the main energy is released through multiple earthquakes of similar magnitudes, without a prominent main shock. "The recent earthquakes in Mozhu Gongka have basically occurred in the same nearby area, and they have now formed a swarm-type earthquake sequence. For this type of earthquake, the energy is not released all at once but through multiple earthquakes of similar magnitudes. Its characteristics include high frequency, obvious fluctuations in energy release, a relatively slow attenuation rate, and a long duration of activity," said Gao Jinrui.
Meanwhile, according to the latest news, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Mozhu Gongka County, Lhasa City at 13:00 on November 8th, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 29.81 degrees north latitude and 92.26 degrees east longitude.

In January 2024, Hebei Luzetech supplied rubber isolation bearings for the new outpatient and medical technology complex project of Mozhu Gongka County People's Hospital in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Since the project was delivered, the building has withstood approximately 15 earthquakes of varying magnitudes.

Recently, the after-sales quality review team from Hebei Luzetech visited the new outpatient and medical technology complex of Mozhu Gongka County People's Hospital in Tibet. They conducted an on-site post-earthquake inspection of the rubber isolation bearings and auxiliary structures supplied by the company for this project. Pleasingly, over the two-year service period, the building has stood the severe test of 15 earthquakes of different sizes, with its main structure remaining intact and performing stably. This stands in sharp contrast to other nearby buildings that suffered varying degrees of damage, earning high praise from the hospital (the project owner).
Since the product delivery, the Mozhu Gongka County area has experienced frequent seismic activities, which have posed a continuous challenge to the safety of hospital buildings. Nevertheless, the outpatient and medical technology complex equipped with Luzetech's rubber isolation bearings has demonstrated excellent seismic performance during multiple actual earthquakes. The isolation bearings effectively dissipated and isolated seismic energy, ensuring the safety and stability of the upper structure of the building. This has guaranteed the uninterrupted operation of the hospital's critical medical functions during earthquakes, building a solid safety barrier for patients and medical staff.

Luzetech has always adhered to its core business philosophy of "Professionalism, make buildings more secure" and regards product quality as the lifeline of the enterprise. The success of the Mozhu Gongka County People's Hospital project is not only strong evidence of laboratory data but also a reflection of Luzetech's isolation technology standing the test of the complex environment of real earthquakes. It fully demonstrates the important value of isolation technology in enhancing the seismic resistance of buildings and protecting lives and property.
