Key Installation Process

  • Foundation Leveling: Strictly control the leveling accuracy with an error ≤ 2mm to ensure the bearing installation base is flat and firm, laying a solid foundation for subsequent installation.
  • Bearing Positioning and Layout: Accurately pop up positioning lines to ensure the bearing center is aligned with the design reference line, and the deviation is within the range permitted by the specification to avoid the impact of positioning deviation on service performance.
  • Hoisting Operation: Adopt a light hoisting and placing method; it is strictly prohibited to generate impact or inclined force during hoisting to prevent damage to the bearing rubber body and lead core.
  • Anchor Fastening: The anchor bolts shall be tightened evenly with force in batches to avoid excessive local stress leading to bearing deformation or bolt loosening.
  • Welding Protection: If on-site welding is required, effective protective measures shall be taken to avoid the rubber part of the bearing, preventing high-temperature damage to the rubber layer and affecting the bearing's sealing and stress performance.

Necessary Acceptance Items

  • Appearance Quality: The bearing surface shall be free of defects such as bulging, cracking, degumming and lead exposure; the rubber layer shall be flat and intact without damage or aging.
  • Dimensional Accuracy: Key dimensions of the bearing, such as diameter/side length and thickness, shall strictly comply with the requirements of the design drawings, and the deviation shall meet the relevant specification standards.
  • Marking Standard: The marks such as model, bearing capacity and factory serial number on the bearing surface shall be clear and complete without blurring or missing, so as to facilitate traceability.
  • Installation Accuracy: The deviation of the levelness and verticality of the bearing shall be controlled within the range permitted by the specification to ensure uniform force bearing of the bearing.
  • Complete Data: Complete relevant data such as factory inspection report and mechanical performance test report shall be provided to ensure that the bearing quality meets the design and specification requirements.

Daily Maintenance

  1. Regular Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the bearing once a year, focusing on checking the integrity of the appearance, whether the displacement is normal and whether the connecting parts are loose, and timely detect and handle abnormal situations.
  2. Environmental Cleaning: Timely clean up sundries and accumulated water around the bearing, avoid the bearing contacting corrosive substances such as acid and alkali, and prevent rubber aging and corrosion of metal parts.
  3. Special Inspection: After an earthquake, a special inspection of the bearing shall be carried out, focusing on checking the hysteretic performance and resetting situation to confirm that the bearing is not damaged and can normally play a shock absorption role.
  4. Routine Maintenance: Under normal service conditions, the bearing does not require additional maintenance, and its service life is synchronized with the main structure; if any abnormality occurs, it shall be handled by a professional organization in a timely manner.
