1. Routine Inspection (Once every six months)
- Inspect the sealing components for damage and prevent ingress of dust, moisture and water vapor.
- Check the bearing for displacement and corrosion, and verify the integrity of the slider surface.
- Record displacement and load data, and compare with design values to identify abnormalities.
2. Periodic Maintenance (Once every 3–5 years)
- Remove dust and contaminants from sliding surfaces and replace aged seals.
- Test the friction coefficient and re-centering performance; replenish special wear-resistant grease when necessary. Mixing of different grease types is strictly prohibited.
- Conduct anti-corrosion repair on corroded areas.
3. Post-earthquake Inspection (Implemented immediately after an earthquake)
- Check the re-centering condition and measure residual displacement of the bearing.
- Inspect the spherical surface and sliders for abnormal wear, cracks and damage.
- Verify mechanical performance. The structure can only be put back into service after confirmed no functional failure.
